Dan Napoli is a documentary filmmaker specializing in emotionally grounded storytelling driven by the music choices he incorporates into his films.
He combines interviews, verité, archival material, and a music-forward structure driven by the soundtrack to shape character-driven films—often in the worlds of sports culture.
As a director and editor, Dan makes films that value tone, restraint, and feeling over commercial polish and slickness. He also serves as the Music Supervisor on all his projects.
Dan creates documentaries through both his own production company, Cinema Hero Films, and on a work-for-hire basis.
